Educating People About Straw Bale Construction

Fundamental to Straworks is educating people about straw bale construction and its potential to:

• Have a lower impact on the earth’s resources; and
• Mitigate climate change compared to conventional building.

Deirdre co-teaches straw bale building at Endeavour and the weekend workshop is often held on a Straworks project. She has also taught this workshop to high school students and co-teaches carpentry for women at Endeavour.
