 Straworks is now offering earthen floors! As a long time natural building company that plasters straw bale walls with clay, sand and chopped straw, this isn’t that much of a stretch. Over 4 test floors, we developed a floor mix that once hardened with oils and varnish delivers a waterproof, durable and beautiful finished floor. Slightly undulating and organic in feel, it’s a perfect pairing next to our straw bale walls. Or, at only 3/4” thick is the perfect way of adding natural building to any home. All we need is a suitable subfloor or a slab with or without radiant heat. Please contact us to learn more.
