Introducing the Meadow House
A collaboration between the homeowners, Coolearth Architecture, and Straworks — we’re designing and building a 2,500 sq. ft., 2.5-storey, high-performance, carbon-storing, non-toxic straw bale home for their young family.
We’re on a roll, working close to home — just 20 minutes away! This is our fourth consecutive project in the Township of Douro-Dummer. We’re getting to know the building department really well — and they’re getting to know us. They’ve now reviewed, permitted, inspected, and granted occupancy to multiple Straworks builds. Straw bale walls, natural plaster, and earthen floors are not so alternative around here, anymore.
